Foilcote Liquid Foil Substitute

When applied to plaster or stone, Foilcote seals the pores and forms a smooth surface that gives excellent separation of the denture from the mold. Eliminates the time- consuming tinfoiling and resulting creases.

Foilcote is designed as a tin foil substitute and should be used as a separating medium and model seal prior to packing acrylic. Using a brush, paint the entire surface of the model with Foilcote, preferably when the model is not hot or warm. A single coat is usually sufficient for separation; however, a second coat may be applied after a few minutes (five minute wait minimum) or anytime later, and give excellent results.
Painting the entire surface of the model facilitates removal of excess acrylic in trial packing. When Cellophane is not used in curing please be sure that the model side has had two coats of Foilcote. This application may be done after the trial packing procedure. Foilcote may be removed from surfaces with water.
